Masturbation/Self-Pleasure

Masturbation or Self pleasure is awesome and wonderful is so many ways!! Indulging in self – pleasure from time to time can have so many benefits to our well–beings. It is also one of the most common sexual acts on the planet. It is a natural and harmless way to express sexuality and experience sexual pleasure for both men and women.

Unfortunately, self pleasure is still one of the most silenced and tabooed topics in our society. There is no open door policy around the subject. We are not well–educated about what masturbation is, how to masturbate, and the benefits of masturbation. There are many myths about masturbation. The silence, the lack of permission, and the myths cause us to feel uncomfortable about it. Many people are not comfortable sharing with their partners. Guilt, shame, and fear are some of the common feelings people have when the topic of masturbation is presented.

Let’s get it straight about Masturbation

Masturbation is a common and natural activity for anyone. Masturbation is more than just touching genital areas as most people think of when they hear the word. Masturbation can simply be the act of touching your body in a sensual, caressing way. AND masturbation does not always have to end in orgasm. The purpose of masturbation is to simply enjoy the pleasure when you touch yourself. You can also invite your partner to watch you pleasuring yourself too. It can be a great turn on, and an extra shot of spiciness for your relatoinship.

Moreover, people still masturbate even though we do not talk about it. It is a natural act that we need and want. Guys masturbate. Girls masturbate. Single people and people in relationships masturbate. Some people masturbate more than others. It is normal if your boyfriend or girlfriend participated in self - masturbation.  Some people never do, and that is totally fine too. We are all free to our own ways of sexual expression and sexual pleasure.
